In memory giving

Giving in memory is a special way of creating a lasting tribute to your loved one. And your kind gift will enable us to transform even more lives.

Title

Fundraise in memory

Although the time following the loss of a loved one is undoubtedly difficult, some people feel that a positive way to remember their loved one is by fundraising. If you decide that this is for you, then we’re here to support you with a range of ideas and events.

Fundraising events

You could host a fundraising event to raise money for Papworth Trust in memory of a loved one.

Existing fundraising events that we can support you with include Pennies for Papworth, Care for Cake and Purple For Papworth. Please see our Fundraise for us page for a full list of possible events and in-depth information about each one.

If you have your own idea about a special event to raise money in memory of your loved one then please get in touch with us and we will support you to make it possible.

However you raise money, creating an event as a tribute to your loved one is often found by those who opt for this route as a positive way in which to remember them.

Challenge events

Alternatively, you may wish to take on a challenge in memory of your loved one.

Carrying out a Superhero Skydive, walking Hadrian’s Wall, completing the Ben Nevis challenge, or running the London Marathon are all examples of opportunities to raise money for Papworth Trust in your loved one’s memory. These challenge events require determination and endurance but all who do them find them thoroughly rewarding as a way to raise money for charity in memory of their loved one.

For a full list of challenge events available to you, and further information about booking your place, please visit our challenge events page.

Whatever type of challenge you choose to do, you can keep supporters updated about your preparations and collect donations by setting up a JustGiving fundraising page.

You can also tell people why you felt inspired to take on a challenge event which will encourage others to give. Papworth Trust also benefits from donations made through JustGiving as we have a greater chance of receiving Gift Aid, which is worth an extra 25% on top of the donation.
