Suffolk’s dirty dozen raises thousands in Parole for Papworth
A group of 12 businessmen and women have raised more than £6,000 after taking part in a fantastic fundraiser. The dirty dozen took their place in the ‘Parole for Papworth’ event which saw participants ‘arrested’ on fun charges before having to raise £300 bail.
Jo Revitt, corporate partnership fundraiser, said:
“It was a great day with everyone getting into the spirit of the event. We would like to thank everyone who participated and also everyone who supported it to ensure Parole for Papworth was a great success.”
Record amount raised by Prettys in Accumulator Challenge
During March and April 2016, Prettys Solicitors organised various fundraising activities for the firm’s Papworth Trust accumulator challenge, including a cake and coffee morning, an Easter egg hunt, guessing the gender and weight of a colleague’s baby and a raffle which included a day’s holiday donated by Prettys.
The money raised will help fund worthwhile causes such as the Foundation Street Garden project created for Papworth clients; Hawksmoor House - a residence for Papworth Trust clients who have complex needs due to learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder; and recreational activities held at the Papworth Trust Day Centres.
Prettys Tandemathon raises over £1,000 for Papworth Trust
Ian Seeley from Ipswich law firm Prettys took to his tandem bicycle during National Bike Week. He raised money by collecting a colleague from their home each day for a tandem ride into work.
PCS Legal raise money for Basildon centre
PCS Legal presented the Basildon centre with a cheque from their fundraising activities which included a Golf Day and various raffles.
