Papworth Trust is looking for organisations in the South East Local Enterprise Partnership area to express their interest in undertaking delivery on our Building Better Opportunities Community Connections Essex project. The project is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.

The project started in April 2017 and brings together experienced partners that focus on changing lives and communities for the better. The project supports the hardest to reach people in the area, who are several steps away from making work a sustainable part of their lives, move into education, training, job search, and, ultimately, sustainable employment.

The project has received additional funding and will now deliver to 31st March 2023. We are looking for organisations that are experienced in identifying, enrolling, delivering and reporting on the impact they have had in improving any of the following in people who are Unemployed, or Economically Inactive:

• Confidence and self-esteem, or mental heath
• Relationships with others
• Independently accessing services and their community
• Motivation/increased feelings of responsibility
• Understanding their strengths
• Knowing what kind of work and learning they would like to do and have an action plan to achieve it
• Soft skills for work (timekeeping, job search, ability to complete forms, team work, etc)
• Job specific related experiences and qualifications
• Basic skills for work (literacy, numeracy, I.T)

Any interested organisations need to submit an Expression of Interest (EoI). The closing date is Sunday 9 January 2022.

Tenders will be involved in a two stage process. Stage 1 is the aforementioned EoI stage. Successful tenders will then go through to Stage 2, which encompasses clarifications around the EoI and an interview and short presentation about the work you will do on the project.

Both stages will be scored and weighted on the following criteria:

• Geography (20% of the total score)
• Service Delivery Experience (20%) of the total score)
• Organisational Information (20% of the total score)
• Provision Offered (20% of the total score)
• Costs (20% of the total score)
