At our Ipswich Centre in Museum Street, you can try a range of leisure and learning activities. The centre is accessible for people with physical, learning or sensory disabilities.

Care & Support - How we can help 

You can use our flexible care and support services from only a few hours a week to daily or overnight support all year round. 
If you’d like support to get out and about or to live a more independent life in your own home, we can help. Our qualified, experienced carers are all Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked. 
Our service can include leisure support to enjoy an activity like swimming or a short trip away. 
We can also offer personal care, washing, dressing and undressing, taking medication, overnight care or sitting, and companionship. 
Around your home we can help with preparing meals and drinks, cleaning and tidying, washing and ironing, shopping, gardening, odd jobs, errands and managing post and bills. 

Costs and booking

Day Service Activities at Museum Street 

You can try many leisure and learning activities including growing fruit, vegetables and flowers, Information and Computer Technology (ICT) skills, getting work experience or drama, literacy and numeracy classes. You can choose to take qualifications through many of our activities.

Day Service opening times 

The Ipswich Centre, Museum Street is open Monday-Friday from 9.30am to 4pm. There are half day leisure and learning sessions in the morning and afternoon. Sessions start from £17.24 for a half day session and £34.48 for a full day session.

Work & training - How we can help 

We can help you to train for work, do some voluntary work, start a new job or progress to further education. You don’t need any previous experience as we will teach you the skills you need. If you wish, we can support you to take qualifications.

  • Literacy, numeracy and independent living training and qualifications.

Information Centre - How we can help 

Our Information Centre gives free information, advice and guidance to disabled people of all ages and to their families and carers. 
You can ask us any questions about disability and any related issues, including benefits, grants, accessibility, housing, personal support, social and leisure activities, short breaks, education and training, help to find a job, your rights and more. 

Costs and booking 

Our advice service is free of charge. We can give advice over the phone or by email to anyone who lives in the UK. If you live in Suffolk, you can book an appointment to visit us or to arrange a home visit.
