Papworth Trust is very proud to be part of “Shaping the Future of Volunteering” Group, a group of 18 of the country’s leading volunteer-involving charities, including Royal Voluntary Service, Scouts, The National Trust, RNLI, NSPCC and Samaritans who are championing the fantastic benefits volunteering brings for individuals, organisations and the communities we live and work in.

As a group of charities, we will all be joining in the national Thank You day on Sunday 4 July by taking the opportunity to thank volunteers for their amazing contribution over the last year, and we’d love you to get involved.

We would like to thank our volunteers for all they do by giving something back to the local communities we live in.  Some of us will be planting some seeds and flowers, some will be building bugs homes for our gardens or making bird cakes, some will be doing a litter pick in their area, and we are asking you to join.

You can get family and friends involved and take just a few minutes of your day, at a time to suit you.  Please also share photos of your activities with us on the day with us, by tagging us on social media.

At 5pm on 4 July we will take part in the national “Cheers for Volunteers” where I will ask you all to raise a drink of your choice in thanks to the contribution our fantastic volunteers make in delivering our services.
