Our aim
- Assist those who require support to return to employment, regardless of their recent experience or situation.
- To work with those who need to build on their self-esteem and develop their confidence, whilst accessing training and actively job seeking.
- Supporting those who are furthest away job market, allowing opportunities to gain new skills through volunteering, work placements and job searching.
As a partnership, we treat each participant as an individual and provided one-to-one support through an Employment Advisor, as well as group sessions and opportunities to develop employability skills they require to reach their full potential.
Target Participants
The partnership is looking to support more than 800 participants over the lifetime of the project. The project is for those aged 15 or over, currently unemployed and looking to gain new skills or improve their employability skills.
To be eligible, the following criteria needs to be met;
- Be either economically inactive or unemployed, including long-term unemployed.
- Require employability support or the opportunity to retrain in a new industry. This could be due to the impact of Covid-19 and/or recent redundancies or company restructuring.
- Legally resident in the UK and able to take paid employment in a European member state.
Each participant will have access to their own one-to-one support, where they are able to gain individual advice and support from one of our specialist partners. The length of the support will be determined with each participant. Your support with be individual to you, and can include the following:
- Support with application processes and job searching
- CV guidance and interview support
- 1-2-1 and group mentoring sessions
- Managing your health in the work place
- Information, advice and guidance
- Continued support towards sustainable employment
- Accessing training and education requirements
- Support with transition into employment
Support requirements will be discussed during the initial appointment, and throughout the lifetime of the programme, with activities being recorded on an Action Plan to allow progress to be reflected on and reviewed.
Geographical area of operation:
We are able to support residents from Basildon, Brentwood, Southend, Harlow, Loughton, Chelmsford, Thurrock, Braintree, Colchester and Tendring.
