Papworth Trust shortlisted in 2024 ERSA Employability Awards

Papworth Trust is proud we've been shortlisted in two categories for the prestigious 2024 ERSA Employability Awards. Now in its 12th year, the ERSA awards celebrate outstanding contributions to the employability sector, recognising the efforts of individuals, teams, and organisations that go above and beyond in supporting people into work.

Frontline Advisor Award Nomination for Ellie Powell

One of the Trust’s finalists is Ellie Powell, nominated for the Frontline Advisor Award. Ellie, who joined Papworth Trust as Support Manager for the Pioneer Programme in January 2024, has quickly made an impact in her role. Over the past nine months, she has supported 52 customers, with 17 successfully securing employment.

Ellie demonstrates such valuable skills in not only supporting disabled customers and those with long term health conditions into employment but also by providing support and a listening ear to her colleagues within the team.

Youth Employment Award Nomination for Routeways to Work Team

Papworth Trust’s Routeways to Work team has also been shortlisted for the Youth Employment Award. The programme supports young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities and neurodiversity, providing them with meaningful work experience and tailored employment support.

Participants in the Routeways to Work programme gain hands-on experience in the OWL Bikes workshop and shop in Cambridge, alongside personalised guidance to help them develop vital employability skills. The programme empowers young people to explore their career aspirations and provides the support they need to take the next steps in their employment journey.
