Papworth Trust thanks NFU Mutual

Local insurer’s support for Papworth Trust helps keep vital services going for the community

NFU Mutual Agents and their staff at the Huntingdon agency recently nominated local charity, Papworth Trust, to receive a donation of more than £6,400 from NFU Mutual’s national £1.92million ‘Agency Giving Fund’.

The leading rural insurer first launched this Fund in 2020 to help local frontline causes across the country. The Agency Giving Fund forms part of NFU Mutual’s £3.25m funding pledge for both local and national charities, to assist with recovery from the pandemic and to help tackle the impact of the rising cost of living.

Papworth Trust is a leading disability charity that supports thousands of people, their families and carers every year. This donation has enabled the Trust to fund their ‘Beat This’ project.

Ellie Silver, Income Generation Team Leader at Papworth Trust, explained more: “We were delighted to receive a donation from the NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund. 

“The donation funded our Beat This music project and the difference it made to our customers was beyond our expectations.  The power of the music – all customers were constantly laughing and smiling, songs were written and performed which really helped to increase their confidence, and we even saw some of our customers who have communication difficulties, engaging with their peers and staff through the music skills they were learning.  What a success – thank you NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund.”
