Join us along the banks of the River Orwell on Sunday 27th June

We would be delighted if you would join the Papworth Trust team along the banks of the River Orwell.This is the 44th year the Orwell Challenge – organised by the Rotary Club of Ipswich East will take place.  Registration cost for the Orwell Challenge Walk is only £15 for adults and £5 for children of 12 years and under – this fee goes to the Rotary Club of Ipswich East who support some amazing local charities. Entry details

You should register your entry to take part in the challenge at www.ipswicheastrotaryclub.co.uk/orwell-challenge. Once you have registered email jo.revitt@papworthtrust.co.uk to join the Papworth Trust team and order your complimentary running/walking vest.

Start Times for Walkers: HQ opens at 7:00am for the walkers to start at 7:30am. The last departure for those walking the full 25 miles is 9:00am, but those walking a shorter route may leave up until 10:30am. High tide may mean that late starters will be transported to an appropriate checkpoint.

You don’t have to decide until you are walking which route you want to take there are three available. There are three main walking / trail running routes:

• The Levington Loop - approximately 14 miles
•  Fishponds Folly - approximately 19 miles
•  The Orwell - approximately 25 miles

This year for those wanting to complete a marathon length trail run there will be an alternative route near the finish which will be clearly signposted.  There is also a running only route:
