How to raise a safeguarding concern
If you are worried about abuse, you should speak to someone you trust.

This could be:
  • a Papworth Trust staff member
  • someone in your family
  • an advocate, friend or neighbour
  • a social worker
  • a nurse or doctor
  • your local council’s adult safeguarding team or your local children’s social care team. (Click here to find your local council)
  • the Police. If you are in danger and need help immediately call the Police on 999.

What happens when you contact the Local Authority safeguarding team?
They will listen to you and tell you what will happen next.
They will tell the health and social care team about your safeguarding concern.
The health or social care team will contact you to let you know they have received your concern.
