Our Opportunities Without Limits Basildon centre held a fantastic BBQ celebration on Thursday 27 July, as a thank you to this year's Ride London Essex participants from PCS Legal who recently took part to raise money for the centre. It was a great BBQ with tasty food and dancing for customers and staff. The centre also had a special appearance from David Hurst, Deputy Lieutenant of Essex.

Jo Revitt, our Corporate Partnership Fundraiser, said of the event "We were delighted to welcome members of the PCS Legal team to join us at the Summer BBQ held in Basildon recently, giving staff and customers the chance to thank them for their support. They have supported us for a number of years now, most recently six members of staff from their Basildon, Ongar and London offices took part in the Ride London Essex cycling event, covering 60 miles each. From this event alone they raised over £2,000 to support our work in Basildon. Since then the inaugural golf day that Stuart Forsdike, Partner, hosted raised a further £1,500.
PCS Legal are wonderful supporters of the Trust and fully engage with our customers, who thoroughly enjoy it when they visit us. We are looking forward to working with them on some very special activities next year, as it will be 10 years since they first started to support our work."

Liam Green, PCS Legal's Marketing and Social Media Executive said "PCS Legal were delighted to attend the BBQ hosted by Papworth, where we had the pleasure of witnessing the celebration of six of our dedicated staff members, who each cycled 60 miles to fundraise over £1500. It was heartwarming to see the impact our staff made, each of us touched by hand-made thank you cards and a beautifully crafted banner made by the customers. The delicious food left everyone satisfied and smiling.

The event was a true testament to the spirit of giving and community, and we are proud to be part of such a compassionate partnership with the charity, helping them achieve their mission of giving disabled people equality, choice and independence."
