Our fantastic team of London Marathon runners all completed the 26.2 miles to help support our work with disabled people across the East of England.
The group of inspirational runners overcame any fears and pushed through the pain barrier during a hugely inspirational event which saw them cheered on by staff, trustees, friends and family.
The team included our CEO, Sarah Miller, who paid tribute to all the support and kind words she had received – using them as inspiration while completing her first marathon.
Sarah said: “It was a wonderful event to be part of. The feeling of goodwill and support is amazing both from family, colleagues, friends and the supporters at the event.
“My overriding feeling is one of emotion. I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who ran for Papworth Trust and supported all our runners. It was something you can’t explain unless you’ve experienced it.
“I had many people tell me how wonderful it is, but you don’t really appreciate it until you’ve done it.
"I am so proud of Papworth Trust and incredibly pleased to have ran for, and work for, such an amazing charity.”
The whole of Papworth Trust would like to thank the intrepid team of Sarah, Laura Maslanka, Luke Burton, Sam Williman, Danny Hawkins, Jack Troutt, Tessa Minns, Harriet Johnson and Chris Bolt.
