Papworth Trust presents Deloitte with CIoF East Anglia trophy

On Tuesday 12 September, Papworth Trust presented Deloitte with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s (CIoF) East Anglia Trophy for ‘Charity Partner of the Year’.
The CIoF awards celebrate the amazing fundraisers and volunteers across East Anglia, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and South Lincolnshire. Deloitte won the category of ‘charity partner of the year’ for its work in supporting Papworth Trust.

Jo Revitt, Corporate Fundraiser at Papworth Trust, said:

“The level of involvement and the interest shown from the teams at Deloitte has been phenomenal. From supporting through fundraising activities, a desire to take up marathon places, half marathons and cycling challenges has been unprecedented.
“There is a genuine desire by Deloitte employees to understand the difference that Papworth Trust makes to the lives of the disabled people that we support, and to whole heartedly support our work.
“We are delighted that our partnership has been recognised by the CIoF East Anglia.”
David Lyons, partner at Deloitte in the Cambridge office, said:

“We are so proud to support Papworth Trust, Deloitte’s Cambridge and Ipswich office charity partner, to make a positive impact to the lives of disabled people in the region.
“It’s a privilege to work with and learn from the team. At Deloitte, we’re particularly proud to support the trust’s First Steps to Success Employment programme, their employment project designed to empower adults with learning disabilities or autism.

“Our 5 Million Futures objectives align with Papworth Trust’s mission to use employment as an important factor when supporting disabled people to have equality, choice, and independence. “I look forward to our continued work together to make a difference.”
