Staff from Deloitte in Ipswich will be taking part in the town’s half marathon this weekend in support of disability charity Papworth Trust.

Stuart Gilson and Jack Collier, from the company’s Global Trade Bureau, will be taking their place in the Simplyhealth Great East Run on Sunday 22nd September as part of Deloitte’s charity partnership with Papworth Trust in Ipswich and Cambridge.

The duo said they were looking forward to the challenge of running 13 miles across the scenic route which passes the Willis building, the town’s waterfront, Holywells Park and Ipswich Town.

Stuart said: “After hearing about the partnership between our Deloitte office in Cambridge and Papworth Trust, and the fact that the charity has a centre in Ipswich, we thought it would be ideal to support their work

“We have all been training for the half marathon and it has gone well. We are now looking forward to being part of a sold out event.”

Fellow Deloitte employee, Thomas Howard, who is supporting the trio, added: "I visited Papworth Trust, along with Stuart, and we were astounded to see the variety of services on offer to disabled individuals in the local area. We are proud to be supporting the charity."

With a headcount of 20 experienced customs specialists, the Deloitte Global Trade Bureau is based in Deloitte’s Ipswich office.

Opened earlier this year, the team have been keen to engage with the local community and are delighted to be supporting Papworth Trust.
