Papworth Trust celebrates 3-year partnership with Deloitte

Earlier this month, Papworth Trust held a special celebration event to thank Deloitte for their 3-year partnership.

Back in 2019, Papworth Trust was selected as one of 28 charity partners of Deloitte as part of their Five Million Futures social impact initiative. Their aim through the programme was to help five million people get to where they want to be through access to education and employment.

With the initial three-year partnership coming to an end, Papworth Trust hosted a special event to thank them.

Sarah Miller, Chief Executive said:

“We cannot thank Deloitte enough for their partnership. Over the three years, they have been a wonderful support to our Cambridgeshire and Ipswich services, and particularly instrumental in their support for our First Steps to Success employment programme.  They’ve supported our fundraising activities by taking part in half marathons, the London Marathon and cycle events. We have gratefully received tablets and laptops to help our customers get online and stay connected in their communities. On top of the monetary value, they have supported many people across the organisation by providing their expertise to help us finesse our procedures and establish new ways of working such as our impact assessment monitoring. Most recently, 15 colleagues accessed training via Multiverse, which utilises unspent apprenticeship levy to provide access to training.”

“It has been a wonderful partnership and we are so grateful for everything they have been able to do for the Trust.”

David Lyons, Deloitte Partner said:

“It’s been a privilege to support Papworth Trust over the past three years. Papworth Trust’s team is very special – their passion and commitment, especially throughout the pandemic, was so very evident. To be able to support the Trust to continue to deliver services during this period – at a time when they were needed most – has been a cause our teams across Cambridge and Ipswich have really rallied behind. I am very proud of what our partnership has achieved and it is fantastic to see the success and positive impact the Trust is having in the region – working towards giving more disabled people equality, choice and independence.”
