Earlier this year, we were delighted to be named one of the 13 new charity partners of Deloitte, as part of their One Million Futures social impact initiative.
Since then, the team at Deloitte in Cambridge and Ipswich have gone above and beyond to support our work. Here are some of the highlights…

Ride Across Britain

980 miles, nine days. One phenomenal effort.
Jack and Charlie from Deloitte Cambridge took part in the company’s annual Ride Across Britain, tackling the iconic Land’s End to John O’Groats route.
The pair completed the gruelling journey with Jack tweeting: “After a long 9 days cycling 980 miles, I completed @DeloitteRAB today in aid of @Papworth_Trust. Thanks to @JRevitt and team for their support throughout!”
They have so far raised £3,962.84 which will be matched pound for pound by Deloitte which is amazing.

Static cycle challenge

In support of Jack and Charlie, we organised a static cycle challenge outside the Deloitte office in Cambridge.
Staff, supporters and Deloitte employees took part in the day-long challenge which saw participants complete a 15-minute ‘ride’.
The day was a great success and a way of the charity showing their appreciation for all of the dynamic duo’s efforts.

Great East Run

A trio of staff from Deloitte’s Global Trade Bureau, based in Ipswich, took part in a half-marathon in Ipswich to support our services in the town.
Stuart Gilson, Jack Collier and Ben Pead completed the 13-mile Simplyhealth Great East Run.
Fellow Deloitte employee, Thomas Howard, who is supporting the trio, added: "I visited Papworth Trust, along with Stuart, and we were astounded to see the variety of services on offer to disabled individuals in the local area. We are proud to be supporting the charity."

Cambridge Centre visit

Prior to the Ride Across Britain challenge, Jack, Charlie and colleagues from Deloitte visited our centre in Cambridge.
They toured the facility, met with staff and customers and were given good luck cards and gifts to set them on their way.
The duo took part in a fun and information Q&A with customers and said they were inspired to see how their fundraising would support our work in Cambridge.
Staff and customers from Cambridge also made a special video for Jack and Charlie.
