Over the last few months we've re-opened and invited some customers back to our centres including Foundation Street in Ipswich.
Opportunities Without Limits Ipswich continues to adapt its service offering to support the needs of its much thought of customers. Whilst some have made their return, others are being supported within their homes or out in the community with a view to phasing their return over the coming weeks and months, as restrictions change. Service Lead, Kate Stuart tells us:
“It’s been positive to see how well the customers have adapted to the changes and new routines within the centre. Despite the challenges faced, there’s a definite buzz at the centre once more. Reminiscent of times pre-Covid. Naturally, customers; their parents; their carers continue to be cautious. We have proven that with appropriate safety measures in place, we can resume some normality and our customers can participate in meaningful and purposeful activities with their peers. I’ve seen individuals grow in confidence from day 1 of re-opening, right through to our now as we approach our twelfth week. We look forward to that continuing.”
We asked some customers what they thought of being back at the centre, they said:

Angie, Jessie, Cassie and Barry in the Red Zone
"I'm happy!" - Angie
"I'm happy to see my friends again" - Jessie
"It's good to be back" - Cassie
"I love it here" - Barry

Mark, Simone, Stephen, Billy and Max in the Blue Zone
“It’s nice to mix with people again” - Mark
“It’s made me feel happy” - Simone
“I’m glad to be back to some normality again. Weeks spent indoors, I was very depressed.” - Stephen
“I like to see everyone here” - Billy
“I felt pleased when I came back” - Max
