Melbourn Dynamo OWLS Football team* have now finished their autumn season and we caught up with the Manager and some of the players to find out how it had gone.

 
Gail Williams, Manager, said “The league runs from August to November. We have a mixed team of 19 players. No matter what their ability is, everyone gets to play and we have great fun. We had to pause on matches and training last year because of the pandemic, but the team kept up their skills by taking part in online video sessions. We’ve had a great season with some fantastic football played and great goals scored. The determination, passing and confidence is really shining through as a team.”

Katie, the Club Secretary, said: “Football is the only activity where we can all come together and have great fun!”

Frank, player, said: “I love to play, joining in the running and screaming when I score a goal."

Andrew, player, said: “Without the great coaching team, it wouldn’t have happened. Thank you!”

The team now get to ‘dress to impress’ with their end of season prize-giving Ball, where they’ll get to dance at the silent disco. The new season will start with friendlies from February 2022.  

*Known as the OWLS, Opportunities Without Limits is a team (hosted by Melbourn Dynamo FC) for adults who play in the Cambs FA Parability League and are coached by Gail Williams, Papworth Trust Activities Facilitator.
