A charity supporting disabled people and their families will once again showcase their dramatic talents – while marking their 100th anniversary.

Papworth Trust’s OWL Centre will pay homage to the charity’s historic roots when it performs Doctor Hoo’s Adventures at Cambridge Junction on Wednesday 28th June.

The performance, which takes place at 1.30pm and then 6.30pm, will celebrate the charity’s big birthday with the story centred around a time traveller who revisits key moments from Papworth Trust’s past.

Helena Judd, project lead at the OWL Centre, said: “We have produced some fantastic performances in the past – everyone gets into the spirit. And Dr Hoo’s Adventures is shaping up to be another really fun show.

“We will use hit music and dance moves from across the decades to show how the Trust has been able to change the way people see disabilities. Photos from Papworth Trust’s past will also be projected throughout the performance.”

From its origins as a tuberculosis colony in Papworth Everard to its present day supporting disabled people and their families across the East of England, the full story of Papworth Trust will be retold by the OWL Centre’s performance.
