As we continue to look for a new permanent home for OWL in Sawston, we will need to run the service in a slightly different way using community and partner facilities.

From the 1st April 2019 the OWL Centre will be running from the following locations:

Monday –Sawston Village, New Road, Sawston, Cambridge, CB22 3BP
Tuesday – Mill Lane Pavillion, Mill Lane, Sawston, CB22 3JE
Wednesday - Mill Lane Pavillion
Thursday – Mill Lane Pavillion
Friday – Sawston Village College

Working with the college will help us re-establish links at the location where OWL first began. Mill Lane Pavillion, which is run by the Parish Council, is ideally situated close to transport links in the town centre and will provide a short-term base for activities and a meeting point to head out from.

We can confirm that the timings of each day will remain the same. Activities will remain the same or will be very similar with a few new ideas and projects starting as well.

We recognise that OWL needs a permanent base and we are continuing to pursue our preferred option which is the old Barclays Bank Building.

However, to ensure we have a regular location whilst we secure a permanent home, we’ve been speaking with Sawston Village College about renting a space on their site for up to a year.

Assuming an agreement is reached, we will be moving OWL to Sawston Village College at the earliest opportunity. The date of moving will be confirmed as soon as possible.

It remains our intention to transform OWL back into a community-focussed service with more of our activities and projects delivered in the community in partnership with local people and organisations, whilst recognising the need to a base to run activities from for people who prefer activities that are run from a centre.

We would love to hear from you or people you know if you have ideas for community projects.
