Papworth Trust have been successful in their bid to win a major new employment contract in Cambridgeshire.

The Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS) contract, in partnership with Shaw Trust, will support the Department of Work & Pensions in adding capacity to the existing Work & Health Programme in the region and will target getting job seekers back into work to reduce long-term unemployment.

The new contract will also see the Trust take on an initial 4 new Employment Coaches to support over 3,000 customers in the 12 month period the contract will run.

Following the announcement of the successful bid, Una Davis, Senior Business Manager at Papworth Trust, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the JETS contract as it will allow us to support over 3,000 people across Cambridgeshire whose employment has been effected during this difficult time.  It is an excellent opportunity to continue our work with local community groups and health specialists to support with the recovery in our area”.

Customers can enter the Job Entry Targeted Support from Jobcentre Plus following signing on to Universal Credit for 13 weeks.
