A popular beer festival with a Bavarian twist is returning to the centre of Ipswich to support the work of a disability charity in the town.

Saints Oktoberfest, organised by local company Beer&Co, will be held at St Peters by the Waterfront, Ipswich, on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th September and will support the work of Papworth Trust’s centres in the town.

Festival organiser Greg Cooper said: “We are so thrilled to be working with local charitable partners Papworth Trust for Saints Oktoberfest 2017.

“It follows the event’s hugely successful debut last year which our customers absolutely loved.

“The Festival has an authentic German atmosphere with Bavarian beer served in steins and street foods including bratwurst, sauerkraut and pretzels - all held within a stunning medieval church.”

Entertainment across the two days will be provided by the amazing 'Oompah Band' with two sessions on both Friday and Saturday – from 5pm to 8pm and 9pm to midnight.

Jo Revitt, corporate partnership fundraiser at Papworth Trust, said: “Our Ipswich centres have a special place in the local community and it is great to have the support of Beer&Co for what will be a fabulous fundraising event.”

Tickets are only £7 in advance with group offers available. To find out more about Saints Oktoberfest and to book your tickets, please visit www.beerandco.uk.
