A charity golf match hosted by Royston Golf Club held last week has raised £1,640 for Papworth Trust.

Supporters of the charity participated in a round of golf in aid of the Papworth Trust’s Opportunities Without Limits service and to allow their football team, the Melbourn Dynamo OWLs, to purchase some brand new equipment for training and matches.

As well as a golf match, the Trust hosted a raffle on the day with a wide range of prizes donated by Cambridgeshire businesses Sheene Mill, Carlo & Co, Leech & Son, the Bassingbourn Garage, The Bell, Cambridge Wine in Royston and Elysium Salon, as well as prizes from Cambridge United Football Club and Hotel Chocolat.

Following the event, Dan Eaton, Senior Service & Enterprise Manager at Papworth Trust, said: “We’re grateful to have received such spectacular raffle prizes for our raffle today. We would like to express our deepest thanks to Royston Golf Club and all who have supported us in today’s charity golf match. The Melbourn Dynamo OWLs football team are really looking forward to purchasing some new and much-needed equipment!”
