You Can Care Week Graphic

Care customers at Vange Place in Haverhill have received a Thermomix machine, made possible through Papworth Trust’s legacy fund. This is an all-in-one meal prep and cooking machine with an extensive ability. The accessibility features aim to give customers greater independence and choice in regards to preparing and cooking meals, with a digital system.

Each customer has had a 1:1 session with the Thermomix, and the household have now incorporated the Thermomix menus into their 4-week menu planning, 3-4 times a week.

The customers have been able to cook and experience meals they’ve not had before, and have the independence to prepare food using the clear step-by-step screen. The customers are excited every time the Thermomix is used, and it encourages full participation with easy read recipes.

One of their most recent meals has been mushroom stroganoff which was enjoyed by all customers despite their dietary requirements.

Our staff team report that the Thermomix has given all customers a sense of achievement. It has brought enthusiasm and pleasure back into everyday cooking.

Each customer has chosen a meal, shopped and prepared the meal for their housemates, and they look forward to using it for the upcoming Coronation celebrations.
