Have you completed a marathon before?
I did complete the Amsterdam marathon in 2019, however I was taken ill prior to the run after contracting something nasty in Mexico, which left me drained of energy. I managed 17 miles running then had to walk/run the remainder and finished in 5 hours 10 mins. My target for London is around 4 hours. I also turned vegan at the start of 2022 and this is also assisting my recovery as I am getting the right nutrients into my body making recovery a lot quicker. I was pessimistic when I started but now I would recommend looking at your diet before you even reach for the trainers.
How is your training going so far, what time do you hope to achieve on the day?
My training is going really well, 2022 has been a great year for me in terms of milestones and training. I am undertaking a triathlon on 26th June and I am in the best shape of my life. I really want to enjoy this marathon and running will become my primary focus after the triathlon. I want to push myself hard and raise as much money as possible.
