What has inspired you to run the London Marathon in aid of Papworth Trust?

After visiting the Basildon centre, I was so inspired by the work Papworth Trust do! Seeing how happy the clients are, the activities available for them was amazing. I was also so overwhelmed by the experience I knew I wanted to support Papworth.

Have you completed a Marathon before?

Yes – I ran the London Marathon in 2019 for Global’s Make Some Noise. I also ran London Marathon again in October 2022 for the British Heart Foundation in memory of Grandad.

How is your training going so far, what time do you hope to achieve on the day?

I’ve been following a training plan since the beginning of the year from a company called Full Potential who I used last year. Training is going well, but it’s definitely harder with the colder weather and dark morning’s and evening’s! I’ve got a couple of races booked in to help with my training and also motivate me leading up to the big day. I am hoping for under 5 hours this time as I missed out by 54 seconds in October!
